Linden Life Fellowship began as a result of two churches merging. High Praise International Fellowship (a predominantly African-American charismatic church) and Meadowbrook Christian Fellowship (a predominantly Caucasian non-charismatic church) came together to form Linden Life Fellowship in February 2014. The church is led by Pastor Mark Brereton. He preaches God’s Word and through his servant leadership, directly oversees and impacts the various ministries of Linden Life. He is accountable to a Board of Elders.
Our desire here at Linden Life Fellowship is to create an atmosphere of genuine cross-cultural worship, unapologetic preaching of the Word of God, courageous witness and continuous prayer. We believe God has called us to lead the way in racial reconciliation in our city. We are a diverse community of believers, desiring to grow to show the world that we are one.
We strive for this in response to Jesus’ prayer: “That they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” John 17:23 ESV We also believe God has called us to positively impact the South Linden area with the transformational power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, through various outreach efforts. We pursue this impact as a result of God’s instruction to “Work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you.” Jeremiah 29:7 NLT
